How to Prepare for a Bike Race
If you're doing a hot XCO race, I would want small insulated bottles. You can carry more volume and it's going to be better off for you. If using an insulated bottle is going to make it so that I can't take that in, I'm fine with drinking a hot carbohydrate drink over having cold, but not carbs. The temperature really gets down to pickiness and like tough to stomach maybe, but train for that. Freeze your entire hydration pack the night before by throwing the whole pack into the freezer first. And then hopefully you can refuel and do that sort of thing.
