In the last 20 years, we've seen increasing access to lethality for individuals. The flood of conductivity and massive amounts of inter net traffic actually makes it easier for these groups to hide in the clutter of social media networks and in big cities. We've been in war time mode ever since nine 11. Our adversaries have been able to have ther freedom to think and and experiment while watching our struggle. They were much free, freer to think about how to react and adapt. And there was a process of conscious adaptation that went in, particularly in russia and china, in response to watching us struggle in arack or afghanistan.
This month will mark a year since the Taliban takeover of Kabul in August 2021 and the chaotic withdrawal of western forces from Afghanistan.
