Do Democracies Cause Civil War?
Civil wars start increasing as democracy starts increasing. We have moved out of the aumocracy zone since then, right? But because we haven't had any significant reforms to our political institutions, it could easily slip back into the omocracy zone. So i think part of what was happening in the twentieth century is do you have these countries that we're attempting to democratize and some of them are trying to democratize quite rapidly.? This tens to create not only instability, things are changing, leaders are changing, but also creates opportunity.
