Can the current rate of economic growth continue indefinitely? There are various arguments that cannot. For most general classes of tasks, there's probably gonna be a best way to do it relative to some fixed laws of nature. So if economic growth comes from technological change, eventually technological change has to slow down because you're kind of approximating the best way to doing it.
