Definitions of Human Beings

What in your view is a human being? Well, a human is also that needs some rather careful definition and it can be used. Usage is not very clear. There are narrow senses of humans in which all humans are people of the same race as you and me or descended from people rather like you and me in bone structureor something like that. Or we can then investigate whether if we find creatures on other planets who look rather like us and seem to have similar abilities, whether they would be humans because they were descended from quite different groups than ourselves. I don't think it's a very important word in itself because I think it's not what philosophers call an essential kind.
