Most mongolians do not have the genetic mutation that allows them to digest lactos. They consume up to 250 grams of blactost per day in horse milk, which they also then ferment to make a kind of alcohol. How are they digesting? Darry warner thinks the answer might be in the microbium, that diverse eco system of bacteria in our guts. Some adults can digest milk because they have this unique microbium. And some people have neither and can't digest milk.
