The Importance of Recovery, Post-Race Management and Longevity in the Sport
There needs to be a balance between consistency of training and long-term athletic development. Some athletes might feel that they need more time mentally to recover from the season. Being in tune with our bodies is the most important thing, I think, to create that long-term development. And choosing when your motivation tells you to get back to training and listening to your body is the most key.
