Is There a Requirement for Captioning on Online Lectures?
There was some case where, because there wasn't sufficient captioning on some on line lectures that were put out. The school got in a little bit of trouble from the a like the hearing impaired community. But if you would ask me, why don't i videotape all my lectures? It's expensive. Under the old model, like the one that i did, we had to pay five thousand dollars to have someone with a video camera who would follow me at the blackboard. And so, you know, it just was prohibitive in that sense. Now with doing it on zoom, where i just hit a button and records it, it's easy.
