Teach Yourself of a New Programming Language in 21 Minutes
I am different from you, Abi, in that I am very comfortable with having blind spots and so I actually wrote a blog post about this a few months ago called Teach Yourself of a New Programming Language in 21 Minutes or two to three years it depends. You take five minutes and ask yourself, do I really need to learn this programming language? And like I've never needed to learn make files. I've needed to manipulate them several times over my career but it's never been worth learning. But at the end of the process of going top down I do end up at the same place you are which is where I know where everything is in the book.
