How to Recalibrate Your Trauma Response System
What started out as adaptive becomes over time maladaptive because you get stuck we're designed to sort of toggle back and forth between these two responses not stay in one. If there were a fire the answer isn't to either stop making toast or to throw away the fire alarm the answer is to recalibrate the system so that the alarm goes off when it's supposed to not when it's not. i think the goal of trauma healing is to kind of recalibrated the system and then integrate whatever is sticking out and is creating the problem does that make sense?
