The History of Hydration
The study of dehydration starts in 17th century Italy when a professor named centorio centorio tried to figure out how much fluid the body lost through perspiration. The discovery by an irish medical student revolutionized treatment and say thousands of lives all over the world. In 1942 German troops penetrated british lines in egypt but had to surrender when their water ran out. A month later u.s. troops began experiments to see what really happens to soldiers in the heat. Some hikes were simple and soldiers were followed by a water truck and weighed every hour Other hikes were impossible and scientists watched just to see when the men would quit.
