I Confidence Is the Product of Past Performance
When it comes to measuring progress, i can't measure future performance. The only thing i can actually measure is what i've done. If i'm in the gap, i'm devaluing my own progress. I'm now saying it doesn't matter what i've accomplished because i didn't get that achievement. It's kind of like being your own worst enemy. You're constantly moving to goal posts. And so you can only have confidence based on what you've done. That gives me confidence, which then can initiate what i want to do next.
