What Is Metabolic Flexibility and Why Should I Care?
metabolic flexibility is the ability to use both carbohydrate and fat as a fuel source during exercise. It's particularly important for those kinds of events, such as road cycling or triathlons. Theoretically, you could be a hundred % reliant on carbohydrate and get through those fine. But if you start to have hard efforts in there, that might start to come unstuck a little bit. And this is where metabolic flexibility is going to be superimportant when you're doing these kind of races.
