"I think what's different is, it's not re traumatizing because one of the most profound things I have done and been able to do as a guide is to teach people how to stay in body and present," she says. "That's part that is really big energy." In some of my sessions it's literally 30 minutes of a survivor. And I'm learning to stay with that physiological sensation that that part is flooding. Noticing when dissociative parts come in,. noticing when shutdown parts come in or just naming it themselves.
