Strength Gains in the Group Training With Interrepetition Rest

A recent study found very similar, if not maybe slightly a better, strength gains in the group training with interrepetition rest. There doesn't seem to be an inherent advantage to either going closer to failure or staying farther from failure but there doesn't appear to be a cost from doing other of the two either. Training volume seems to be loosely related to the gains in muscle size and muscle strength. In theory, you would think this would lead to greater strength gains,. But in this case it did not.
