Is Cold Therapy the Best Tool for Restoring Energy?
For me, getting my eyes under the water, triggering that mammalian dive reflex, feeling my heart rate start to drop. That's why far prefer cold immersion than cryotherapy. Even with the regular active recovery protocols after like nine to 12 weeks, I got to shut it down for two days. And even though, while flow can seem restorative and to a certain degree, it's also burning fuel.
