The Static Model of the Human
In the post-classical period in the 20th century economists adopted a static model, both of the economy and of the human. This utility maximizing rational human being whose preferences are totally separate than unrelated from the structure of the economy. We have complexity science who are bringing in non-equilibrium systems into how we model economies. So I feel like this has come to a pretty good place to come to a rest.
