What Does Success Look Like if You Find the Right Hire?
Dini: It's easy to sort of go with a gut feel and just you know, let me look at this sort of aspirational company and hire for it. And so I think over waiting logos on resumes and sort of purely going off of pattern matching versus being clear around your success criteria in 12 months from now 24 months from now. What does success look like if you found the right hire, and then how do you design the right competencies and the right evaluation process around those must haves? "I have seen folks hire from companies that are too big," Dini says. 'You really want somebody who has seen what great looks like at an early stage,' he adds.
