The Importance of Tone in Sonification

The sounds that were coming from the scenario were associated with what would happen if a patient lost blood. Even though he had been talking, his mouth and brain were moving in a conversation with us. He was not thinking of each symptom, each vital sign separately. So that made us think, hey, people are really processing these sounds as an integrated whole.
