Colo Styramene and Hyperthyroidism
Colo styramine helps hyper thyroid patients achieve a thyroid state through its effect on the anterio hepatic metabilism of thyroid hormons under normal conditions. It was found that the levels of thyroid hormone were decreased to a greater extent and at a faster rate in patience with colo styramene. One can consider coli tyramene as an adjuvant treatment in managing thyro toxicosis due to its ability to increase thyroid hormon clearance.
