Mozart's Second Symphony Slow Movement
Mozart can do things that no other composer can do with harmony. The elegance in the music is the only thing that keeps it from really sounding exactly like beethoven. It's emotionally complex, with its darkness often outweighing the airy and floating quality of the opening. In fact, this movement is the most like the 30 ninth and fortieth symphonies.
