Neflik's Comedy Is a Way to Build Up Its Library of Shows
netflick saw comedy as a way to build up its library of shows, and in doing so, it changed the comedy business. Neflik spent a reported hundred million dollars for jerry sinfield, and 60 million dollars for dave chapell. But most neflik comedy specials don't start dave chapel. They feature comics you probably haven't heard of before. And those comes get paid much less. What they get in return is exposure to netflixs massive audience, which ends up increasing the comics audience.
