Soithinkwe: I don't think humans are very motivated to find the truth. Once you bring in religious thinking, where so much is done that is evidently counter to truth,. And many people point out, well, the point of believing something hard to believe is a demonstration of your commitment. Soithinkwe we take it, we're taking a very different approach to religion. We look at religion from a purely psychological perspective and ask what constitutes the human ideal? It has to be someone personified because we can't imitate it otherwise. That's the problem with abstract ideals as as a motivating they're not personified. Well, is the gist extracted out over thousands of years.
