How to Replace Punishment With Self-Compassion

If you're only going to do one thing to unleash your perfectionism and use it as a strength, is to replace punishment with self-compassion. I dedicate two chapters in the book to that because we don't really know how to recognize when we're punishing ourselves. We think of being super polite to ourselves or letting ourselves off the hook but they are subtle punishments for high functioning people. It's necessary for your growth to understand how to implement self- Compassion.
