If Jewish canon was not finalized before the life of Jesus, do you think that the Jewish teachings of Jesus would have found a place in Jewish scriptures? I don't think they would have become part of the Bible. But it would have fit perfectly well with parts of the Jewish scriptures. The problem was that when Jesus died, he would have been seen as one of the prophets who was wrongly killed.
