I've done something similar that I used to always use the notes app on my phone for stuff and I just started like doing that with pen and paper. Sometimes I won't be in a spot to do it so I won't necessarily go make the notes but it definitely keeps me out of the out of the phone a little more. There's a lot of efficiency to be gained as well if you're not always on your stuff.
