The Importance of Complexity in Training

I was speculating that if you put someone on like just a a pull-up training program for a year and they started like five pull-ups maybe they get to 20 pull-ups at the end of the year right. If you just had them rock climb three days a week boulder it might get to 15 pull-ups just from a boulder but your grade in pull-up could go up three gradesmaybe in a year of climbing. I don't know nobody's ever done this study but  you're going to see this much better transfer from the more complex aspect to the less complex aspect so I'm just curious have you seen that?
