I like to use assessments and reference checks, actually, as much earlier in the process before you invest the time to bring people in an interview. What I do is not really using my gut because I use the same interview questions and I know what I'm kind of looking for from a, from an answer standpoint. But I use an assessment from Wiley and Sons out of Texas that he call ACT meets Myers Briggs. It literally has a verbal and math section of numeric ability,verbal ability, verbal reasoning.
