The Power of Narrative

Somatic work is the body's capacity to be in presence. If you want to shift that experience, somatics are what mindfulness offers. We invite the narrator to take 12 seconds off per hour to allow us to come to the body for one breath and then she can start narrating again. And we rock with that out until that feels safe. You see what we're doing? It's called titration. Slowly building the new skill. Being present with yourself is a skill. Like it is a legitimate skill that most of us didn't learn in childhood or learn the opposite of.
