Alternative Modernity and the Roots of Anti-Intellectualism

This chapter examines 20th-century political movements and their attempts to create alternative modernities in reaction to mainstream ideologies. It highlights the intellectual underpinnings of anti-intellectualism, particularly in relation to fascism, and discusses the relevance of classical justice alongside contemporary social realities.
