How to Use Leading Indicators in Safety Experiments
i think an indicator will only ever give you a question, not an answer. And and that's what we should be looking for with our indicators. Some of these things that we think of as leading indicators are much better thought of as good variables to use in safety experiments. One way to get around this cyclical problem is to have a clear thing that you're trying to improve and to have a control group.
