Love Yourself Before You Can Have It for Others
You need to have loving kindness for yourself before you can have it for others. The four affirmations are: may i be peaceful, may I be safe, may i be well and may i be free of all discontentedness in the suffering it causes. Then what you would do in your private practice is you would create rings that are based on challenging relationships that you have. If you have certain angeror hostility towards certain people, and your finding it difficult in order to interact with them in a polite, kind, friendly and respectful way, then youuld like to create a ring for that person or that group of people.
