Do You Like Training to Failure?
I'm a big believer that people get better results from training programs that they enjoy. I think it, for me, kind of on a practical level, the thing I care about more than anything is how good are you at maintaining technique and grinding on one RM attempt? So if someone was just crazy about doing deadlifts to failure, I would put some thought into, well, okay, how are we going to do this sometimes, but not all the time? But most of the time, like I'm mostly working with people who don't just have an obsession with training to failure.
