The Differences Between Strength and Endurance Athletes

I think the probably... I mean, it's a misconception. Endurance athletes meet a lot of protein. When you start ramping that protein consumption up to 1.6 to 2 grams per kilogram, then you're seeing a better turnaround in either strength-training athletes or endurance athletes. The other thing is, particularly in a low-carb state, you tend to be dehydrated a little bit more. Just because of the fact that when you're eating a lot of carbs, you're still letting insulin a lot more and insulin tends to cause you to retain fluid.
