The Toxic Sector of Procurement

I was in the sector for 20 years. And all that happened was that all the benefits got chipped away. At Ogleville, there were free breakfasts. There were summer parties. We had beer in the fridge. All of that stuff. Now it goes long hours. They don't have the remuneration or career progress. It's a toxic sector,. This is the first conversation we've had like this. So we're talking about the reality of like, you know, it is in decline. I think short termism and finance treats everything in the P and L as a cost whereas some of it actually is investment.
