Heart rate is a relatively good proxy for what the body is under as far as stress goes. Don't try to do something dramatically different, cause it seems like more fun. You're not going to become close to failing every time you take a step. But think about what your cycle ray needs to be and how hard running can get on its nearly zero effort. It's aggregate that action that makes it stressful. And i want to tell people that don't use heart rate so much slavishly, like we're talking about againt cycle rate and discreet weight are key.
