The note book exercise is a way to calm down your racing mind at night. It can be done for two to three weeks, and then you don't really need to do it any more. All the sleep conditions i interviewed agreed that this is just a much more effective relaxation exercise than a lot of the typical Relaxing Sleep Techniques we hear about.
