Keeping Your Heart Rate Up in the Winter Months
I do encourage you to keep a little bit of speed, doesn't necessarily have to be more than once a week. Once a week, do something a little bit faster so that you don't lose connection with those fast twitch fibers. So use the treadmill, use it liberally if you need to in order to get the work in safely and or use some other some cross training modality. If you don't have access to an elliptical, you can recreate these workouts on a bike as well.
