The Great Failure of Classical Liberalism
I don't think it's possible to organize politics on a basis rational shared decisions. I think you do have to have myths and legendsd and tribes and things like that, and you have to play in that space. And i think they are just a lot deeper than a lot of people on the right are really willing to answer or deal with. The great failure of classical liberalism was the shift into this kind of vision that you could, using your puny brain, solve all human problems. It took away our ability to talk about things in terms of retribution and justice for black people who were wronged.
