Sales like athletics is a performance based profession, and we don't treat it like that. We train sellers and send about to sell, saying, look, your job is to go out and get orders. And what they should be training to say is,Your job is to help the customer solve this problem. That's pure friction right there. I think there are a lot of not well-developed sales reps who take the challenger selling concept and without carefully reading everything and understanding it.
