It's the opportunity to be an entrepreneur without being stupid enough to start your own company. The equity upside is a kind of retirement money on it if the deal goes really well. That's probably the biggest attractor. Can non-CEOs step into a private equity back company as CEO? First time CEO is a private equity advisor or do you need CEO experience prior to it?
