Building Capacity First, and Then Utilizing It

I got this idea from Bob Bowman, who was Michael Phelps coach. You first have to develop the capacity for this type of work at a high level. And then you're able to utilize it. But I think many people are in such a big hurry to get to the utilization part that they never build the capacity. When you talk about running, first, every race is completely different. The pace you can train on pace, but it's not that you will train on a race specifically like when we talk on biomechanic like level. It's important to have these multiple capacities that you add at the end.
