My impression is that your scientific work involves poking inside people's brains and seeing what's going on when they're doing different things. How do you do that? So I don't actually physically poke in their brains. So we use MRI and we use functional MRI. We put people inside the MRI scanner and we have them do something while they're in there. And we look at the activity in different parts of the brain. You can't capture an individual neuron. You're really getting indirect measures of deoxygenated blood flow.
