"I think that the exhaustion is real for the MCU and possibly soon for Mattel, even though very few of these things have actually come to fruition yet," he says. "There can be like too much of a good thing, right? Are we seeing that kind of play out in this space?" The top performing films of the last year were all reboots and sequels,. But I don't know, you know, I think that there is a real desire for original filmmaking."
Mattel has 45 films in development. A cinematic take on UNO could be coming to a theater near you.
