Ask for a raise in terms of the boss's self-interest. Focus on interests rather than emotions when negotiating with bosses. As an entry-level person, making your boss's life easier is the smartest thing that you can do. Securing a raise doesn't involve bombarding your boss with facts and figures. It involves reframing the proposition from: Can I get a raise? to how my raise is in your best interests.
