There was this idea that you could take something that would maybe not be exactly Chinese, but would be something like that and represent the core ideas behind it. And if you could do that, you could change the way that people thought. You could make them have a better understanding of what they were thinking and the way that they were thinking. That was inspiration for a lot of things.
