Is Clinical Perfectionism Causing Problems in Your Life?

Therapist says there are two types of perfectionism: helpful and unhelpful. Clinical perfectionism is where it's interfering with people's lives to a significant degree. Helpful aspects include striving towards things that are really important to you, being able to change your approach when something isn't working. Unhelpful perfection means we're always setting high standards for ourselves which can lead to negative behaviour like self-hatred or fear of failure. As a therapist i must help every client in every session all the time by watching how they get caught up in this constant nd rip at themselves.
