What's the Long Game?

A lot of times all we do is narrow in our vision and see what's right in front of us. What often prevents you from spiraling out of that is like zooming out a little bit, getting a little perspective. For any big project, it always goes about 40% over what people plan for. It's impossible to anticipate all the random stuff that could slow down or maybe speed up but almost always slow down your process.
