The Problem of Statistics Misrepresentation
I think this whole question of statistical misrepresentation is a much, much more widespread problem than we realize. My concern with statistics is that people who think they know what they're doing statistically can be spectacularly wrong and dangerous. And I don't think we fully realize the extent to which fairly naive assumptions, which highly intelligent people confidently make every day, can quite often be wrong.
