The Chorus Is the Thing That Makes It Impossible
The chorus is the decisive step by which war is declared openly and honorably against all naturalism and art, says Nita. It's like the opposite of the ideal spectator, in fact, because the chorus is part of the performance, and it's the most unrealistic part. And so what i guess i'm trying to get at here that nicha is bringing up, it declares war on naturalism. What he means is, its declaring war on what weu call in modern day realism. Its establishing something which in no way corresponds or attempts to have a painstaking portrayal of reality.
